The project is a floating sauna and diving tower located in the archipelago of Hidra. The sea bath is the first in a series of interventions aiming to highlight places of significance in the local community.
The Seaside Sauna is composed of two floating triangles creating a small bay between them. The program consists of a small changing room, storage for wood, and an outdoor shower next to the bay, while a diving tower and a sauna tower are established on the second floor. A pier connects the sea bath to a sun deck and a fireplace at the mainland.
The Seaside Sauna is a part of a tourism strategy for Hidra and Kirkehavn, evolved by MIMIR AS in cooperation with Smaabyen Flekkefjord AS.
