Cabin Sjusjøen is designed for an active family of four, situated in the renowned cross-country skiing terrain near Lillehammer.

The building is organized in a cross-shaped layout with four wings — a living room, bathroom, bedroom, and a practical wing for outdoor equipment. At its center lies the kitchen, connecting all functions and serving as the heart of the cabin. A range of expansive views opens toward mountains, forests, and still waters.

The floor plan allows the living spaces to flow seamlessly into one another, while surfaces of oak and terrazzo concrete create a calm, balanced atmosphere and a natural connection to the surrounding mountain plateau. The exterior is robust yet precisely clad in black-stained wood, blending durability with refined detailing.

The kitchen is designed and crafted by www.nordiskakok.no.

At the heart of the cabin lies the kitchen — a central hub where all functions meet and daily life unfolds.

Wide horizontal windows open toward the mountains and forests, framing the calm waters below.
