Villa Tiller is a compact yet spatially rich family house, defined by a series of squares.
Villa Tiller is a compact family house in Trondheim / Norway. The design is strict, yet playful and spatially rich.
The plan is based on a series of squares, creating a rich variation of spaces, corners, and overlapping zones.
A large staircase combined with a skylight at the center of the building, fills the structure with natural light. Double-height rooms ensure a spatial connection between the three main floors.
The project is planned as a CLT construction (cross-laminated timber) with black-stained pine.
